Looking Back

Personally for me, doing this project work I learnt a to of key information and knowledge and most importantly experience.

Doing this project was great fun, from this I made more friends and learned new concepts and ways to make a project. In secondary school doing projects was always seen to me as boring and not enjoyable. I never found interest in working with groups doing topics on a certain subject however, doing this project really changed my idea. I found doing a project on something you genuinely find interest in really boosts your motivation and work ethic.

I learned so many tips from doing this project I don't even know where to start! Firstly learning the different stages of production. This is a great way to process and develop an idea you have to extend it further. Doing this process really helped my group to do with information and topics to narrow it down as we had a video time limit.

Learning tips on how to shoot B-Rolls and do voiceover effects and how to make a documentary-styled video boosted my knowledge of what I already knew. I thought before I learned these tips that I knew how to make it interesting, but going through these tips really gave me a new outlook on what can help boost my project video. From the videos our lecturer provided us, in detail they were fantastic. They gave us so many options on videos for what to watch based off of how you were recording and shooting your video.

Editing was something I always had an interest in and I self-taught myself through the internet. However, looking at how other members of our group edited taught me a lot about new software editing apps and different settings to apply to the video. On top of editing.....generally learning about the digital media basics and cinematic lighting were interesting to me as I never knew how to do cinematic lighting or even the basics of digital media, it was something I never learned

With these different topics and tips that I learned, I can apply them to future college projects or personal projects I set myself to do. This project truly opened my eye to a whole new experience and I loved every minute of it. I hope in the future to do something like this project again. Till then I can still learn more about video editing and shooting.
